Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, believes in excellence in the field of Art and education teaching. It holds the fraternity of teachers to their utmost credits to impart lessons which will create a sound civilization. To nurture a global torch bearers in the field of Art and Aesthetics artisans. Dance nurtures reality of life and brings forth the fundamentals in the form of presentation. Nritya is a way closer to divinity. It creates exemplary work to make the audience understand the underlying feelings . The emotions are real and have their origin in society. The Dance emphasizes on body gestures, verbal communication, articulations and also absolute happiness. Abhinaya in Dance helps in creating the act from abstract to real.

The ornamentation and costume plays a very crucial part in Dance. ‘Katha' (story), is made of two words - ‘Ka' in Upanishads stands for Brahma. It also means ‘Gyana' or wisdom. In literal sahitya ‘Ka' refers to ‘Sukh', a ‘pure bliss’. In Indian culture Dance is considered to be a link between God and Audience. The yogic movement create calmness of mind.

The objective of the School of Liberal Art is to preserve , promote and propagate rich cultural ethos and give it to the world. India has rich cultural heritage like dance is a unique platform of any civilization. It combines the Vedic culture with the most modern techniques to showcase the spirituality leading to calmness in our minds. The sattvik bhava in a dancer carries his/ her own art to give the world a base to create positive sound and energy.Dance movement and technique brings joy to the Artist as well as the audience . It has been in our tradition to worship Gods in temples, but an artist prays and worships Art to reach God.The Yogic patterns in hand gestures symbolizes healing and meditative effect through Dance. The Gyan mudra resonates peace in our mind .

Dance also affirms and reinforces the Brahmical origin. The artists use Nritya as a vehicle to convey knowledge of Dharma to the common man.

Nritya has its own origin in our Vedas and Samhitas. The aesthetically blended art-form speaks its volume when an artist showcases the fineries of movement intricately woven into rhythmic spell. Each syllable spoken or danced creates its own resonance which soothens the mind. Psychologically speaking the words and aesthetics bring comfort to mind .
