Overview
Dance is the expression of soul through body. It is the manifestation and visual translation of poets words through body as a main vehicle which is, synchronised to mind and soul. In the Indian approach, it is nothing else but surrendering oneself to god or ultimate reality.
Yoga is the age-old Indian principle of complete harmony of body, mind and soul. Yoga is a mystic journey from form to formlessness, as it is a physical way to reach towards metaphysics.
Nrityayoga is a thoughtful combination of aesthetics and kinetics of dance, especially Bharanatyam and principles of yoga for the upliftment of inner and outer capacities of human being, based on ‘Ashtanga Yoga’ (8 limbs) of saint Patanjali, exploring all 195 sutras parallel to dance.
