All art everywhere is representative of the form that the artist impresses on life. But, at the same time in India, creating a work of art itself is a ritual which is drawn from the religio-philosophical thought backing his ethos.
Bharatanatyam, the classical dance style originated in Tamil Nādu, is the harmonious blending of Bhaava (emotion), Raaga (Melody) and Taala (Rhythm), Natyam (Dramatisation). It is popularly known as Temple Dance by the Devdasis (Temple Dancers).
