Dear Students,

Welcome to the vibrant learning community of Dr. D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune. I write to share my thoughts with you about the community you are about to enter, and the journey you are set to begin.

Education, it is often said, is the passport to the future. For tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. Late President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam had said, “The ignited minds of the youth are the most powerful resource on the Earth. I am convinced that the power of the youth if properly directed will bring about transformed humanity by meeting its challenges and bringing peace and prosperity.” Our mission has always been to educate future leaders woven throughout the DPU experience, inspiring every member of our community to strive toward a more just, fair, and promising world. It has also been our priority to instill in our students the commitment to their goals along with integrity and concern for the environment and society they live in. Firstly, we have incorporated relevance and symbiosis in education, and for that many innovative initiatives have been launched. On offer are a variety of programs designed to either start a career or move one's career forward while enabling students to confidently explore new industries for career possibilities and consider opportunities that they may not be aware were available to them. Our curricula are relevant, timely, and continuously adapt to address new social and economic challenges in a global context. We do this through our commitment to transformative power education.

The campus is always abuzz with a plethora of activities and has become a dynamic venue where brilliant minds from all over the world converge and share their vast reserves of knowledge and skills. As you move towards your goals, you must always keep in mind that you owe more to the world than it owes you. Each of you can and must do your bit to help build a universe that will nurture our future generation.
